My Journey In The Time Machine

In class twelfth and first year of engineering, I went through a very good habit of daily diary entry. But I lost touch with it as I moved into 2007; for those who don't know, diary entry is a very effective stress buster and works better than a pain killer or sleeping pills: according to many. (Though, I never tried any of the two:P).

This Diwali while cleaning my room I went through my diaries of 2005 and 2006. And it felt like I was living in that moment once again. Though when I was writing those pages; it was just because I had no one to share my self with so I found a friend in my diary. But while going through them once again; it felt as if Anurag Kaushik of that time was conveying some messages and lessons to the Anurag Kaushik of today. He was insisting me to stop making some mistakes which were a common part of me. At the same he was asking me to care more about people who meant something for me.

Here are some
not-so-personal quotes from Anurag Kaushik of 2005 followed by the one of 2006.

2005:
# Think about options other than silly “engineering”. (Yes, I hated it even before I entered into it.):P

# “Asked Mr. ***** to control his tongue and actions, what a fattu he is, complete sitti-pitti-gum”

# “Attended the most boring B’day party of my life, who plays antakshari when you have enough space and music system handy??”

# “***** offered to dance with me, what a moment.” (I don’t remember this incident now, but its written in it.)

# “Took the bike out for first time, my first encounter with traffic police, must say I am smart enough for them”

# “Hot and humid class at PLASMA, I am leaving this place if there is another power cut.” (I didn’t leave it till it was farewell; they said you must leave now:D)

# “Have to announce schedule for Football selections tomorrow” (though I never played football in my life at school; except a few exceptions :P).

# “Clubs’ installation ceremonies are most boring place to be; why do you have to install a club every year? We don’t pay 50 rupees anyway; most of us are here for refreshments”.

# “Stood behind 3 ministers and Jaipur MP for 2 and half hours, and at the end you get no food, SPS, Airport sucks, at least for today.”

# “City looks wonderful from Nahargarh fort, what a view.”

# “****** Sir to take chemistry class; and a REAL class of me, now I am gone. He will eat me alive.”

# “Fought with the service center man, he didn’t return me my bike on time. He had to serve me first at the end.”

# “Saw a sad break up scene in front of my eyes, man…once in a lifetime scene. Sometimes I feel girls are too mean when they say good bye to their guy. They can learn to control their tongue.”

# “A drunkard slammed his car into the parking of tuition; luckily no one was there except vehicles.”

P.S.: No grudges against anyone now. I was a school going student at that time. :P

2006:
# “External came from Kota, a very good lady, I got sample no.17 Ba(NO3)2

# “Got a-kind-of-farewell from school, met all teachers while receiving admit cards. Why only my batch gets no official farewell.”

# “Vigorous revision session at PLASMA; I left it; was making me more nervous.”

# “Being an adult makes you feel like being something.”

# “Farewell at PLASMA; I am sure gonna miss this place forever.”

# “Distributed Fool’s day party cards to four.” (what a day it was):D

# “JEE-2006 at ICG; what a waste of time; wish I could bunk it like another friend of mine.” (though I didn’t do that bad:P)

# “Everything seemed to be happening for the last time, for some strange reasons.” (the more mature me)

# “What an adjustment, 13 people in an Auto-cum-tempo, I sat in the door. That too when you are passing through jungle, this place needs better transport.”

# “Shantikunj is such a peaceful place, the self help makes you feel like home, had a semi-quarrel within us but the positive energy was notable.”

# “We tried playing T&D in bus but elders stopped us when we disturbed driver while he was driving, then came to the boring antakshari; HELL; I had to turn ON the stereo; dance feels better.”

# “I today realized that I had excellent scope in photography.” (I took some really rare snaps)

# “Lunch at ‘moolchand’ on way to Delhi, couldn’t believe this place had such a sophisticated restaurant.”

# “Visited SKIT and Gyan Vihar, had to walk through the Jagatpura area; GV felt like Hogwarts.” (Biggest illusion :X)

# “Throat infection, I sound like a frog. Silence is gold for now.”

# “Well am I not good enough in making friends??, I can never get bored. When there are people around.” (Ya good in making new, bad in maintaining them.):P

# “GVSET finalized, date confirmed as August 7th ’06.”

# “If this was an officers’ party I better would not be one, they were dying for food as if there was nothing at their homes.”

# “Holiday at GVSET because of campus placement drive for seniors” (I didn’t see this day yet for our placements);)

# “Seniors stopped me at thadi, there was some strike sort of, I finally managed to run away. They took a few to University campus for show of strength”. (agru I hope you’ll never forget this day):D

# “It feels different to be an Ex-student, I felt like an alien in the place where i spent so much time. No duties, no responsibilities, come as guest and leave like one.” (After Subodh winter carnival)

# “New Year celebration with school friends; nice gathering. Some people always remain dear no matter how far time takes you from them.”

P.S.:- After flowing through the past in the time machine of diaries I am planning to start it all again from 2010.:)

The Story Of A Pagal and A Doctor

Written By:
Stuti Narnolia

The more you run away from something, more closer you get. This happened to me also, even worst then it should be when I tried to run away from Bandar (I will introduce him later on). Actually that naughty specie owned a website, where he used to discuss about 'jump' in his life.

Actually that monkey was no one but my brain doctor-dangerous one with no patient. You must be thinking now that I am a mad person. But that is not at all true. Unluckily, I had to become only patient of him for his income, because he was very good friend of mine. One day he asked me to go through his website. I started imagining what a mental doctor that too a monkey can write. If I guess something it may include how many times he had jumped on trees for search of jadi-butis like medicine for his patients, sorry patient.

There are many other things which I will tell u later. Obviously, a mentally fit human will not want to be tagged mad, so I remained at a distance. This was the thing, I was running off from. My phone rang, cell beeped on with msg "visit the blog", this was not the last, my email-id's had the same messages, not even spared mine orkut, facebook accounts etc. The website became nightmare about which I used to dream even at the day time, how horrifying it could be!!

A smile came to my face when I got solution for this. Yes, I got an idea. It was that I would lie to him that I had visited. And I did that. The day was happiest day of my life. But, that happiest 'DAY' remained for a 'day' only when my mobile beeped again next day with message from Bandar (still saved with same name in my contacts). I opened my inbox and the text was "I could not see you in the visit list. Post comments on each blog there.” My face turned from “:)” to “:(”. How could I forget that the site was of mental doctor who must have put his mind infinitely while creating that website which was horrible as per my imagination?

To visit the site was troublesome task for me; just imagine how difficult it would be to post comments for each post. I started calculating not mathematically but in the same way as doctor monkey could .To my surprise the result was mathematical expression for I was 200% confirmed that is
no. of posts= no. of trees he had jumped from the last second till now

Now every thing was clear in my mind. I was confirmed that the bandar’s banana-diet has increased. So he really wants to turn me 'mad' and he is playing this game. One thing came to more in my mind which I would discuss later. I said to myself, “jo bhi ho jaye ye nahi hone dungi". I neglected his msgs: "my net is not working" .But one day I was caught online. He started complaining in the same speed at which he eats banana. I had no answer. But suddenly an answer came to my mind and I quickly pressed unarranged letters on keyboard; the outcome was "I tried posting comments but your website is not accepting. Check there is some technical problem".

As always his reply was ready. He explained me “How to post a comment” in an elaborate manner as I was a KG student. He continued “I have invitation for you”. I got surprised how monkey doctor could give party, because he never did so. But sadly there was nothing like party because the next horror on my g talk was “I have sent you invitation to join www………com and write for it. Accept it. When will be your next blog ready??” I read ten times the above line to assure that my eyes were ok. I found my pc oscillating in front of my eyes.

At last, I wrote. This horrible story is the result. Hope, you know this intelligent doctor... If not I would tell you in the next one, with more detail on Dr. Bandar and more brain eating story.

Strings Of My Brain

A new thought out of my brain....
"Life is a uni-directional journey, starting at childhood and finishing at old age;
Each day comes only for once, its upto us what we make out of it...
There is no reverse Gear, So cherish every moment of it with full Zeal and Energy...
This moment will never come back ever...!!".....

Few But True...!!

There is one life and its a long journey;
There is one traveller and the road is sunny;

The only help is the one so divine;
God is there to keep me fine;

And there are friends on their own roads;
Fighting their way in their own modes;

It is always a well needed motivation;
That they all come to give me a notion;

They give me the light to move on right;
To make me laugh when there is a moonless night;

So what that in number they are so few;
What matters is that they are all true;

Its a proud to be a part of them;
They are true friends and are my Gem..!!

Adieu: India's Got Talent

The first "error-ful" post is here for you...!!:P
Well sonali bendre has been a favourite of mine frm a long time and her dressing sense has always been classic, extra-ordinary and graceful...

her dress was beautiful as usual in the finale....!!
but in between the perforrmances she appeared in Saree while talknig about individual performances giving insight to the way they have been performing in the past...!!

and she was looking stunning in that...!!...Gorgeous and what not...words are less to describe her beauty even today when she has stopped working in the movies after completing her golden phase in the Bollywood...!!

Now that the show has come to an end i wish we get to see more of her soon..!!...much before the next season of IGT...!!

Kirron Kher And Shekhar have been the two of the best judges i've ever seen on Indian television...there were no cat fights on IGT among judges like other shows....
it was a show which we watched with our families very comfortably with decent and graceful talks....
and common people took part in the show very comfortably from all and i mean ALL sections of the society...!!
and we got a very talented winner "Prince Dance Group"..the group which used least resources and maximum talent...!!
and other participants were mind blowing as well...each and every one of them..its not even possible to name them all..!!

In the end....nice show after a long time ...!!
i'll eagerly wait for its next season...!!

Adieu IGT..!! come back next year with more talent...!!:)

Bear Grylls: The Born Survivor

If you don’t follow “Man vs Wild” on Discovery Channel; you have till now missed a very important necessity of human life: the art of survival. Man vs Wild is one of the few shows I watch on TV. And when I am just playing with my TV remote; if I see Bear Grylls appearing on my TV screen, even my remote denies working. Forget alone pushing it’s buttons.

Few basics on which he concentrates:

  1. Positive attitude in every situation; a desire to live and survive in any case.
  2. Courage to take risk. It’s for your life.
  3. In particular, he tells that burning of fire at the place of night stay/ camp gives him a new hope and well needed energy to move on.
  4. Eat whatever and whenever you can. (but something which doesn’t harm your health and body).
  5. Be cautious, proactive and athletic; take care of your body by fulfilling basic needs like, food, water, sleep and sufficient body temperature.
  6. Utilize every resource which is available; something which might seem to be a waste at one time; may help you in saving your life at other.
  7. Don’t go against the nature, but take it’s help in your survival.
  8. Maintain a proper body fitness.
  9. There are many other small and big things which he keeps on telling but I don’t remember all of them right now; may be you can remind me of some in your comments if you follow him.
  10. Well when there is nothing at point number 9; what are you searching on tenth??:P

Some info on Grylls from Wikipedia:

He’s got a lovely family of his; containing a wife (Shara Grylls ), and three sons Jesse, Marmaduke and Huckleberry (born 15 January 2009 via natural childbirth on his houseboat).

In December 2008, Grylls suffered a broken shoulder while kite skiing across a stretch of ice during an independent expedition to climb a remote unclimbed peak in Antarctica. Travelling at speeds up to 50 km/h, a ski caught on the ice, launching him in the air and breaking his shoulder when he came down.

On 16 May 1998, Grylls achieved his childhood dream (an ambition since his father gave him a picture of Everest when he was eight) and a record, as the youngest Briton, at 23, to summit Mount Everest, just eighteen months after breaking his back. (this record was later surpassed by others).

The show has featured stunts including Grylls climbing cliffs, parachuting from helicopters, balloons, and planes, paragliding, ice climbing, wading rapids, eating snakes and crocodiles, wrapping his urine-soaked t-shirt around his head to help stave off the desert heat, drinking urine saved in a rattlesnake skin, wrestling alligators, field dressing a camel carcass and drinking water from it, and free climbing waterfalls. Grylls also regales the viewer with tales of adventurers stranded or killed in the wilderness.
