Have You Boarded The Right Train

True happiness comes from within, not from outside, it comes not when we achieve something worthy, it comes when we take the right step in the direction of our dreams. Success is a journey not a destination; hence it's not about having achieved your goal, it is about working in the direction of your goal. If you are happy with what your are working on; you can then be certain that you have taken the right path; if you are not happy with your work let me assure you; you have boarded the wrong train. And it will affect your performance in the long run. time is running out; have YOU boarded the right train??...think over it.

Feedback in Competition 360 Magazine

My feedback was published in the Competition 360 magazine which is published all over India for aspiring young minds.

I sent the mail to the magazine after my dissatisfaction related to the job openings section. I am grateful to them for taking care of my suggestions in the subsequent edition of May-2011.

This is how I decided to spend my spare time while waiting for the "not-so-punctual" company representatives and HRs.

Byju and Gaurang paid me well enough to put there pics on this blog, if you are interested in getting your pic on Korner Kafe, then contact any of the authors and bribe them accordingly...!!:P

The newly constructed seminar hall in the pic has no fans and only two micro-windows(not visible in pic); making it the most suffocated place to be in. And still the place is over-crowded. Unemployment really needs some attention.:)

Apart from this the projector is focusing on the wall itself (in fond memory of its screen).

P.S.: NO OFFENDS MEANT AGAINST ANYONE/ INSTITUTE.

My Journey In The Time Machine

In class twelfth and first year of engineering, I went through a very good habit of daily diary entry. But I lost touch with it as I moved into 2007; for those who don't know, diary entry is a very effective stress buster and works better than a pain killer or sleeping pills: according to many. (Though, I never tried any of the two:P).

This Diwali while cleaning my room I went through my diaries of 2005 and 2006. And it felt like I was living in that moment once again. Though when I was writing those pages; it was just because I had no one to share my self with so I found a friend in my diary. But while going through them once again; it felt as if Anurag Kaushik of that time was conveying some messages and lessons to the Anurag Kaushik of today. He was insisting me to stop making some mistakes which were a common part of me. At the same he was asking me to care more about people who meant something for me.

Here are some not-so-personal quotes from Anurag Kaushik of 2005 followed by the one of 2006.

2005:
# Think about options other than silly “engineering”. (Yes, I hated it even before I entered into it.):P

# “Asked Mr. ***** to control his tongue and actions, what a fattu he is, complete sitti-pitti-gum”

P.S.: No grudges against anyone now. I was a school going student at that time. :P

# “External came from Kota, a very good lady, I got sample no.17 Ba(NO3)2

# “Got a-kind-of-farewell from school, met all teachers while receiving admit cards. Why only my batch gets no official farewell.”

# “Vigorous revision session at PLASMA; I left it; was making me more nervous.”

# “Being an adult makes you feel like being something.”

# “Farewell at PLASMA; I am sure gonna miss this place forever.”

# “Distributed Fool’s day party cards to four.” (what a day it was):D

# “JEE-2006 at ICG; what a waste of time; wish I could bunk it like another friend of mine.” (though I didn’t do that bad:P)

P.S.:- After flowing through the past in the time machine of diaries I am planning to start it all again from 2010.:)

Kolkata Knight Riders' Biggest Nightmare comes True

Nothing seems to be going in favour of the KKR in IPL-2009. Not that they did any good in 2008 version but this time they don't seem to be doing even that. They are currently at the bottom of the charts and are expected to remain there only in the rest of the tournament. coach Buchanan is enjoying his richly paid foreign tour after creating a controversy out of nothing by introducing the multiple captain theory. as if this wasn't enough there came a blog named "fake ipl player" whose author claimed to be an insider of the KKR camp and there he lashed out at the team management and increased the amount of public embarrassment for the SRK's team. SRK was very excited at the beginning of the tournament expecting his team to beat the others just like Australia used to do when Buchanan coached them. so excited he was that he didn't mind arguing with the cricketing legend Sunil gavaskar regarding the captaincy issue saying, "This is our team and we know how to run it". But the only match KKR won was by the mercy of the great mathematician in cricket Mr.Duckworth and Lewis. so is the intensity of the poor performance that the only way in which KKR can now earn points is that the rain must spoil the match so that one point is awarded to both the teams. The second half for this season has already started where every match is equivalent to a knock out. all the teams are doing their best, even Vijay Malya's Royal Challengers are trying their best to stay in the race. but KKR seem to be hating their theme song. i wonder if they'll ask SRK to change it, KORBO LORBO HARBO RE. 

cant say what the people of Kolkata might be thinking about their IPL team. after all its KOLKATA Knight Riders. AAMI KOLKATA WE LOSE!!

I have a few suggestions for the KKR team management:

1. They should forget about IPL and shall rather try their luck in ICL.

2. They should replace themselves with the playing eleven of the team representing Bengal in ICL

3. They should shoot a film where SRK is their coach and where they win the IPL final on the last ball of super over with SRK suggesting Mc cullum to hit a six on the last ball from the pavilion ( yeh lamba run up lekar aa raha hai yani fast ball, lekin iska pair to dheere chal raha hai yani slow, YANI YEH SPIN BALL FAENKEGA...mc cullum meri taraf dekho mc cullum...)

4. They should try their luck as cheer leaders in next season.

5. They should start a reality show to select the next year's coach (of course Indians wont be allowed)

I know there are many things where KKRs can out beat the other teams but its not CRICKET for sure..!! hope you can suggest me some more ideas,,..Do Post COMMENTS!!
