Adieu: India's Got Talent

The first "error-ful" post is here for you...!!:P
Well sonali bendre has been a favourite of mine frm a long time and her dressing sense has always been classic, extra-ordinary and graceful...

her dress was beautiful as usual in the finale....!!
but in between the perforrmances she appeared in Saree while talknig about individual performances giving insight to the way they have been performing in the past...!!

and she was looking stunning in that...!!...Gorgeous and what not...words are less to describe her beauty even today when she has stopped working in the movies after completing her golden phase in the Bollywood...!!

Now that the show has come to an end i wish we get to see more of her soon..!!...much before the next season of IGT...!!

Kirron Kher And Shekhar have been the two of the best judges i've ever seen on Indian television...there were no cat fights on IGT among judges like other shows....
it was a show which we watched with our families very comfortably with decent and graceful talks....
and common people took part in the show very comfortably from all and i mean ALL sections of the society...!!
and we got a very talented winner "Prince Dance Group"..the group which used least resources and maximum talent...!!
and other participants were mind blowing as well...each and every one of them..its not even possible to name them all..!!

In the end....nice show after a long time ...!!
i'll eagerly wait for its next season...!!

Adieu IGT..!! come back next year with more talent...!!:)

Bear Grylls: The Born Survivor

If you don’t follow “Man vs Wild” on Discovery Channel; you have till now missed a very important necessity of human life: the art of survival. Man vs Wild is one of the few shows I watch on TV. And when I am just playing with my TV remote; if I see Bear Grylls appearing on my TV screen, even my remote denies working. Forget alone pushing it’s buttons.

Few basics on which he concentrates:

  1. Positive attitude in every situation; a desire to live and survive in any case.
  2. Courage to take risk. It’s for your life.
  3. In particular, he tells that burning of fire at the place of night stay/ camp gives him a new hope and well needed energy to move on.
  4. Eat whatever and whenever you can. (but something which doesn’t harm your health and body).
  5. Be cautious, proactive and athletic; take care of your body by fulfilling basic needs like, food, water, sleep and sufficient body temperature.
  6. Utilize every resource which is available; something which might seem to be a waste at one time; may help you in saving your life at other.
  7. Don’t go against the nature, but take it’s help in your survival.
  8. Maintain a proper body fitness.
  9. There are many other small and big things which he keeps on telling but I don’t remember all of them right now; may be you can remind me of some in your comments if you follow him.
  10. Well when there is nothing at point number 9; what are you searching on tenth??:P

Some info on Grylls from Wikipedia:

He’s got a lovely family of his; containing a wife (Shara Grylls ), and three sons Jesse, Marmaduke and Huckleberry (born 15 January 2009 via natural childbirth on his houseboat).

In December 2008, Grylls suffered a broken shoulder while kite skiing across a stretch of ice during an independent expedition to climb a remote unclimbed peak in Antarctica. Travelling at speeds up to 50 km/h, a ski caught on the ice, launching him in the air and breaking his shoulder when he came down.

On 16 May 1998, Grylls achieved his childhood dream (an ambition since his father gave him a picture of Everest when he was eight) and a record, as the youngest Briton, at 23, to summit Mount Everest, just eighteen months after breaking his back. (this record was later surpassed by others).

The show has featured stunts including Grylls climbing cliffs, parachuting from helicopters, balloons, and planes, paragliding, ice climbing, wading rapids, eating snakes and crocodiles, wrapping his urine-soaked t-shirt around his head to help stave off the desert heat, drinking urine saved in a rattlesnake skin, wrestling alligators, field dressing a camel carcass and drinking water from it, and free climbing waterfalls. Grylls also regales the viewer with tales of adventurers stranded or killed in the wilderness.

First Day Of Class-XI

Well Aditi first of all stop criticizing yourself; your post ("Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life") is quite good.

And now moving ahead with my post; let me share the first day of class XI with you people. Few of you already know but for others it’s the first time that I am making it public. On first day of class-XI (July 2004), we were made to sit in makeshift classrooms because new rooms for science section were being constructed on the third floor of the school building.

In the make shift classrooms the first lecture (periods as we used to call them at that time) was of “Library”. We went there and came back. And guess who was waiting for us on the door of the classroom: Mr. B. K. Sharma (The Self Proclaimed “strict”-mathematics teacher). Though I respect him for his help during class XII when I needed support but academically I rate him 7 out of 10. He started with some famous dialogues of his to which we were alien as it was just the first day; and then he started teaching us “SETS”, the first chapter of our NCERT book. I was sitting on the first bench with my friend Abhishek Jain. New students were a little low on confidence and we made full use of it by horrifying them of some rules which never existed. Few of them were so scared that they bunked the “assembly” session to save themselves from being punished. :P

Well moving ahead with the class. B. K. Sir started the class with a simple question and he selected me for that (As I was sitting in front). He asked “select the SET of most beautiful girls from this class”. When I thought of class XI; I knew that it would be all about fun and masti all around but I wasn’t expecting this question from a senior mathematics teacher. He insisted me to answer. And I was like what the hell..??!!...

He then asked a girl to select a set of “most handsome boys” from the class. Only thought which came in my mind was that this man is “drunk”…he is gone crazy….next he’ll ask some one to propose a girl and ask for a date or something..but thankfully B. K. Sir stopped there only..and when both of us were looking at our classmates to answer the questions asked; he stopped us from looking behind and said “Beta, beauty cannot be defined in a set; only measurable quantities are counted in set theory”. Well of course I later realized that had I answered the question the way I thought it was to be answered I would definitely be hit by the remaining girls by their shoes (thankfully they couldn’t wear sandals in school):D

B. K. Sir kept haunting me with that question entire session; and kept reminding me of it occasionally; “Maine pehli class me ek bande se kaha tha to select a set of most beautiful girls of the class, and he gave me no answer.” This instance brings a small smile on my face every time I remember it.

This day only we were told that our physics teacher is a person who did his engineering from Bangalore and would join us in few days. Later it came out to be the biggest disappointment in form of Manu Dev Bharadwaj Sir. He was having the knowledge of engineering but had no idea of CBSE and pattern. Infact he made his question papers in complete engineering style; giving 4-5 questions and not following any blue print given by CBSE; he faced many complaints but I saved him many times just because he was good with me and gave me good marks. Sonia Bhansali mam was really good; in teaching she was 6/10 but was very supportive and experienced enough for being a chemistry teacher.

Another feather in the crown of first day was the MMWT class (Multimedia and Web Technology). Praveen sir (the IP teacher) was a little strict in his first class; while Ritu mam of MMWT was modest enough to announce that she will make her question papers from her class notes and also she started her class with HTML (simplest language in programming history: as per me). This resulted in a mass turn around. Nearly 40%-60% IP students switched over from IP to MMWT. Praveen sir was horrified as he didn’t know the reason behind this sudden wave of events.

English was given to Sarika Gaur mam who later came out to be my house master. In all XI was a fun class with a lot of bunks and duty sessions by DSWs (Deans Student Welfare). Though I still have some grudges with the DSWs for the series of events in class XII; but in XI they were cool enough to be mentioned in this blog.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life

As i said i am an inexperienced writer..with my first writing experience..so forgive me for all the errors..and the boredom u suffer from while reading this one..
from next time i will try to make things interesting and humorous..
ok so here goes my first post..

Recently i met a very old buddy of mine who was suffering from the most common disease named "Who to be?"...Should we be a person who keeps changing according to how people want us to behave like or just be a person who we are...whether people like us or not.. I bet everyone of us has this question or lets say a dilemma.
I suggested him to be a person he is most happy to be but i knew it is not even possible for us to be ourselves at times as we all want to be loved by the people around us,the people whom we love and many others. we want to be loved by all and appreciated . None of us is ready to let people point towards our negative traits.
But its not at all possible to keep everyone happy and change according to what they want as every other person expects us to be how they want us to be. Leave others..lets take our example...are we not amongst those people who wants our friends or anyone to treat us the way we want to.
Since it is not possible to be so much flexible like a FLUBBER ... it is more important to be yourself. At least then you are keeping one person totally happy and completely satisfied..and thats "YOU".
This never means that you are being selfish and just thinking bout yourself. Instead you are taking the first step to be a real human being.
The people for whom you mean something are happy in your happiness..and yeah its still true...even after living in such a selfish era...there are few people who find happiness being in "YOUR" company ...and the people who don't find..they simply don't deserve the REAL YOU.. and for that you are not at all responsible.. It's people's thinking and you can't change it.
Try it yourself...be the person what people want you to be...change and behave according to people ...experiment with yourself.
You will always find something missing out of you.
And the moment you start behaving like yourself you will find that missing thing back in you....Don't believe what i wrote...but at least experiment it and find the real you and the real happiness of your life.
Many things are missing out here...thats due to my inexperience in writing and due to incapability to express myself. so i guess i shud be forgiven keeping that in mind. ;)
I guess the topic of this post makes it more clear...
well it was my Today's Fortune too..(orkut)

Whats New On Korner Kafe??

Hey friends, we have launched a new brand of coffee on korner kafe;
"Aditi Jain", is made up of a lot of creativity, energy, talent and new ideas. I am sure we all will enjoy this sweet and salty combination and will definitely gain a lot of energy from her posts.

You're welcome Aditi on the kafe as a team member after your active presence as an important and regular member. (Now i am tired of all the heavy words; dunno how i did it :P)

Colour the kafe with your flying colours, we are waiting.!!..

And after hearing complaints regarding "complicated-comments-posting-structure" from few readers, I've changed the structure of comments. I hope now the entire thing will be easier to deal with for new users also. You can select "Google Account" or "Name/URL" mode for simplicity. Please avoid anonymous posts unless you really want to hide your identity for a good and uniquely different comment.

So mates, now you have no excuses for not posting comments. :D
Hope you'll like it.

Ragging Is A Crime

Finally my university theory exams are over. And I can’t tell you the amount of relief. And I feel proud of myself on appearing with my best. It feels nice when you give your 100% no matter what the result is. At least you know that you did what you could do.

Went across a news in a newspaper few days back, in Kirorimal College of Delhi University, two students were expelled for ragging a junior in the hostel and one other was suspended for bringing that junior to the other two. Both guys are also facing double FIRs from the college and the parents of the victim. The victim student is said to be in a state of trauma and shock. Its sad to see, two careers getting ruined just for some quick and unnecessary fun. Why don’t we people take college management seriously when they ask us “not to do” a certain things?(ragging is one of them). Why do we feel so big in breaking rules?...okay breaking of rules is a different thing, but ragging in itself is a big crime as per the latest guidelines of supreme court and if found guilty, there is an enforced provision of an FIR from the college management. If this is not done then management faces the axe too. Rules have gone punitive and are no more mutually respectful. Hence it’s my humble request from all of you not to be part of any sort of “ragging” in or outside your college campus (or anywhere). Not even an intro. You’ll get to know your juniors by mutual interaction as the time passes. May be through fresher parties and all….

So enjoy and have fun with your juniors but don’t rag.

Suggest me some ideas on what you want me to write in my next post. I am blank now after exams and can’t think of any interesting topics to write on.
